Ema Datshi is the national dish of Bhutan, a tiny picturesque country nestled in the Himalayas.

It is a simple stew made of a variety of chilies and a cheese sauce. Take the clue and take the spice warning!

This sauce comes with frozen momos, so if your meal partner is not feeling adventurous, not to worry!

Pan-fry the momos in butter for about 5-10 minutes until the wrappers look crispy and brown and enjoy as is or dip in hot sauce from your pantry!

Ingredients

Momos are made with all purpose flour and are stuffed with cooked mixed vegetables

Ema Datshi is a stew made of a variety of chilies and a cheese.

Instructions & Storage

STORAGE

- Package ships with ice packs, may thaw in transit
- Upon arrival, remove packaging and place immediately in the refrigerator to defrost or keep frozen in freezer
- ** Momos should stay frozen until prep time **


COOKING/PREP

- Remove the momos from freezer and steam for 10-15 mins or until tender and soft
- Empty contents of sauce into a pan, cover and simmer until warm or desired heat
- Alternatively, you can also microwave and heat the sauce


SERVE

- Place the steamed momos in a serving plate and pour warm sauce.
- Garnish with coriander if desired
